Jan Helbing, born in 1968, successfully completed an apprenticeship as a tax assistant after graduating from high school. He subsequently studied law at the University of Hamburg, specializing in tax law. As a trainee lawyer, Mr. Helbing worked in the appeals office of the Itzehoe tax office and the tax audit office there. He was admitted to the bar in 2002.
